A Gentle Reminder...
The holidays have a way of making you question yourself. Scrolling social media seeing everyone’s perfect life, perfect photos, perfect routines, perfect families…and suddenly you wonder if you’re doing enough. You may even question if you’re enough. Heck, If you’re Christmas-ing correctly. If that’s a thing :-)
This evening, I want to say be kind to yourself. Because you’re doing way better than you realize. Instead of judging yourself on what you didn’t do: the untidy garage, the to do list, the unpacked boxes, the un-read texts.
I want to offer you a reminder. No one in your life sees you that way.
They see the effort you make to show up, even if you’re lost in an Uber trying to find their location, and you accidentally wear the only Christmas sweater you own to the Corporate party with a naughty word on it.
They see the late night FaceTime conversations in your bonnet. They see the light love and happiness in your eyes when you’re cheering them on. And that’s what counts! So, don’t be so hard on yourself. You’re doing Great!
The people in your life feel loved because of you. They feel acknowledged, seen, supported because you exist.
Happy Holidays,
Dr. Keshia Oscar
